Happy Days

Child Care Center

Happy Days Child Care Center in Broken Bow has been rated by the Department of Human Services as a Two-Star Program, which means that Happy Days has gone far beyond DHS' normal licensing requirements. Four staff members have CDAs; and another staff member is currently enrolled in Vo-Tech early childhood classes. A more qualified staff leads to better service being provided to the children in attendance.

Happy Days provides care for children ages six weeks through 12 years. The center is licensed for 80 children at a time. Currently, four children attend the center full-time and 106 children attend the center part-time, some in the morning, some in the afternoon. All of the center's facilities are wheelchair accessible to accommodate handicapped children.

Preschool children have scheduled lesson plans in the morning. The lesson plans are posted on a wall in the center so parents can see what their children will be working on.

In the afternoons, the older children who have been in school all day have fun activities to work with or take part in such as maps, puzzles, bingo, musical chairs, and other games.

The daycare's different learning centers are filled with toys and supplies appropriate for each age group. Center hours are 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Happy Days Child Care Center strives to plant a seed of encouragement and confidence that will help children grow to become prosperous and giving adults.
