Early Head Start
Little Dixie Community Action Agency's Early Head Start Program is a
comprehensive child development program that has served income eligible
families with infant and toddlers and pregnant women since 1994.
Early Head Start (EHS) was born out of the 1994 Head Start
Reauthorization Act under Associate Commissioner, Helen Hollingshed at
the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) Head Start Bureau.
EHS serves birth to 36 months and pregnant women. The program provides
a wide range of services which include: education, medical and mental
health, nutrition, parental involvement which are Family Partnership
sensitive and appropriate of each child's and family's developmental and
ethnic heritage.
