LDCAA-Early Head Start’s health and safety mission is to enhance the health status of children birth-3yrs., by promoting healthy family functioning and promoting healthy prenatal outcomes for pregnant women.

Our health program promotes prevention, early intervention and treatment. Parents are informed of the benefits of prevention and health services available. We also assist them and their families’ use of health resources. The child’s health needs through use of the EPSDT Schedule (physical examinations and evaluations. It also assures health problems found are diagnosed and treated early by their primary care physician.
